Kibbles & Bits
Some interesting links related to iPhoneography, photography, the iPhone, iPad, and other Kibbles and Bits related to iPhoneographic pursuits, events, etc. Since I wanted to get this version of the site up and running quickly I have not taken the time to organize these links very carefully. The point is not to capture them all, so my apologies if your site is not listed (send me a note), just to provide a glimpse of what’s out there. I will eventually manage these lists so that they are not as unwieldly as they are at present. There is no value added to readers if I just post everything I come across. Readers look for wise or insightful choices that will help them discover neat new things, be inspired, etc. Although a smorgasboard of links can be useful as repository, it does not do much to help readers understand my choices and/or what I believe is neat and exciting.
The second table provides a list of other iPhoneographers. There are lots of wonderful iPhoneographers out there, and I keep finding more every day. I recommend spending time visiting as many sites as possible and viewing the images. Watch this space, the work these folks are doing is pretty cool. My bias is toward work I consider artistic, innovative, and particularly exciting in terms of the photographic imagination. I’m also very interested in folks doing photojournalistic and documentary work with iphones or other mobile devices (if you encounter folks you think I should see please send me a note). Derivative, cliched, or just casual snapshots don’t hold my attention as much.
I hope the list is helpful in introducing you to iPhoneography, and in pointing you in the direction of great photographers, good reviews, and stimulating conversations on blogs and other sites.
